First, click 'Mail' > 'Add Account…' > 'Add Other Mail Account…'. Once you've done this, you'll see a new screen called 'Add Mail Account'. Enter your email account information there.
- Full name: This is the name that will be displayed to the recipient
- Email address: example@yourdomainname.nl
- Password: the password you assigned to the email address
Now click "Create." You'll then see one of the following messages: "Account must be configured manually" or "Find settings…." In either case, click "Next." You'll then see the "Incoming Mail Server Info" screen with several fields to fill in:
- Account type: IMAP
- Email server: mail.yourdomainname.nl (this always starts with mail.)
- Username: example@yourdomain.com (this is always your full email address)
- Password: the password you assigned to the email address
Now click "Next." If you subsequently receive a message about a certificate, you can ignore it by clicking "Connect." This is a normal message that you will only see once.
You'll then see the "Outgoing Mail Server Info" screen. Enter your SMTP information here:
- SMTP server: mail.yourdomainname.nl (this always starts with mail.)
- Username: example@yourdomain.com (this is always your full email address)
- Password: the password you assigned to the email address
